Dearest Tommy and Connie, My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Aunt Pauline was a most thoughtful and loving women. The last time I was in Grove to see her and Uncle Com, Aunt Pauline and I were going into the WalMart to pick up a couple of items. As we exited the car she took me by the hand. I felt so safe and loved with her. I will miss her but the fond memories will always be with me. My wonderful childhood trips to Fallbrook. Aunt Pauline's scrumptious spice cake, seeing her hula hoop (!) and all the excitement of the farm animals. Being with your family was the best of times. Thank you! Hugs, Cousin Debbie

I loved as a child going to Fallbrook to Uncle Com's and Aunt Pauline's. We would go to church and listen to Uncle Com's sermons. Then we would go back to their house for lunch and climb and run in the hills around their house. Fond, Fond memories of Aunt Pauline, Uncle Com, Tommy and Jerry. Sorry for your loss Cousin Tommy and Connie, think of you often, Carole Lyn (keep in touch now that you have my email!)

When I was a child weekends at Fallbrook was the BEST. Uncle Com seemed to always be building another house alongside the mountain, so memories of newly framed houses with Com lugging a tool belt with hammer in hand are vivid. Aunt Pauline always made a cake when my family was coming. She knew we loved her spice cake with vanilla frosting. One weekend there was a new and exciting story. Aunt Pauline had found a snake in her washing machine. I don't recall her being scared but inconvenienced when she had to remove it from the washing machine tub. The wonderful memories of Fallbrook will forever be with me, my brother Paul, and sisters Barbara and Debbie.

I came to know Pauline as a member of the Grand Lake O'the Cherokee Quilt Guild and more so with the friendship of her son Tom and daughter-in-law Connie. I had the honor of attendance at her 90th birthday with numerous visits before and thereafter. Pauline always had a smile, dressed in style and happy to have a visitor.
